The task & the approach
The VDMXL audit has shown that the most value for Kuraray EVAL Europe can be created by increasing the uptime (asset utilization). In order to achieve this, Mainnovation has implemented the RE Roadmap. Almost all assets have been classified through a criticality ranking and the most critical equipment has been listed for further research through ongoing FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) studies. An Interim reliability engineer from Mainnovation has facilitated the studies to make them run successfully.
In order to be able to follow up the maintenance processes, it has been decided to implement SAP EAM, based on the VDMXL methodology in Mainnovations own the Value Driven EAM solution. From Kuraray it was decided to implement a Global SAP implementation. As a Super Key User EAM, Mainnovation was involved in the global SAP implementation of Kuraray to ensure the required functionality.
By means of role-based Training and Coaching, EVAL Europe employees are trained in the use of SAP.
Mainnovation’s added value
In order to further professionalize EVAL’s organization and raise it to a higher level of maturity, Mainnovation has made the VDMXL Process Map EVAL-specific. Based on the required roles, an organizational change has been implemented with which the maintenance department of EVAL Europe has been transformed into an organization with 2 focus groups. A maintenance group with focus on the short term and an asset management group with a focus on the long term.
